Q. How can I access The Atlantic?

We have access to both The Atlantic including online exclusive content. If you're looking for online only content, use the first option on this list.

For the The Atlantic Online (Online Exclusive Content):

The Atlantic Online, is for when you're looking for online only content that is from the  of the Atlantic Online with online.

  • Search for The Atlantic Online in Compass.
  • You will be able to gain access through Nexis Uni.
  • You will need to search for the article directly in the search bar.
  • If it is not loading, then you will probably need to clear your cache and cookies.

For The Atlantic (print e-version):

Through the database, Access World News, you are able to gain access to The Atlantic magazine. Here is where The Atlantic's location is in Access World News, but just in case it fails to send you to the correct location, but let's go through the steps on how to get there.

  1. You will first need to locate the A-Z Database list on the Library Website.
  2. Search for Access World News.
  3. Then log in with your email and password.
  4. Once you're in the database, you can scroll down to the bottom.
  5. There you'll find a collection of locations (USA is where we want to go, as The Atlantic is a US magazine).
  6. Once you're there, you can do one of two things
    1. First you can search for the article directly, if you know the name of the article
    2. Or you can search for The Atlantic in total, through the second search bar below that main (larger) one.
  7. Note* when using the second option it will give you several results. What you're wanting is the one showing [Atlantic, The] which also has a date range or 1994 - Current
