Finding Out Item Availability
Search for your physical library item using the Compass search bar, and click open the record.
If not already signed in, use your DU credentials to log into your library account.
The status of the item will appear on the right-hand side.
Scrolling further down the record you will find the information you’ll need to make a document delivery request.
Making Your Document Delivery Request
Once you have your item’s bibliographic information, visit the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) form located on the main webpage under the Research Tools drop-down menu at the top.
Upon clicking this button you’ll be prompted to log in with your DU credentials. You’ll land on a dashboard page with these ILL request options on the left hand side. Select the “Book Chapter Request” item to get started.
Using the information from the item’s record, fill out as much of the bibliographic information that you can into the Request Form. Patrons can request up to 20% of the item’s content during this time. Be sure to include the item’s call number, which can be found next to the items location (Main Library Stacks, Hampden Stacks, etc.).
When you’ve finished filling out the form, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit submit. When your document request is ready, you will be informed via your DU email.
