Chrome

WINDOWS

  1. Using your current internet browser, go to www.google.com/chrome
  2. Find the “DOWNLOAD” option at the top of the screen and select “FOR PERSONAL COMPUTERS.”
  3. Click on the large blue Download Chrome button in the middle of the screen. A window will pop up for you to read and accept the terms and conditions. Select the blue “Accept and install” button at the bottom of the window. This will begin the download for “ChromeSetup.exe.”
  4. When the download finishes, click on the file to open it, then select “Run” from the dialog box that pops up. This will begin the installation of Google Chrome to your computer.

MAC

  1. Using your current internet browser, go to https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html
  2. Click on the large blue Download Chrome button in the middle of the screen. A window will pop up for you to read and accept the terms and conditions. Select the blue “Accept and install” button at the bottom of the winow. This will begin the download for “ChromeSetup.exe.”
  3. In the folder you downloaded, click on the file called "Google Chrome.dmg." In the window that opens, find the Chrome icon. Drag it to the Applications folder.
  4. Open Chrome. 
  5. Open Finder.
  6. In the window's sidebar, to the right of Google Chrome, click Eject.

Firefox

WINDOWS

  1. Using your current internet browser, go to www.mozilla.org/firefox
  2. Click on the “Free Download” button in the middle of the screen. This will begin the download for “Firefox Setup 46.0.1.exe.” Note: The number at the end of the file name may be different if a newer version of the browser is available for download.
  3. When the download finishes, click on the file to open it, then select “Run” from the dialog box that pops up. This will begin the installation of Firefox to your computer.

MAC

  1. Using your current internet browser, go to www.mozilla.org/firefox
  2. Click on the “Free Download” button in the middle of the screen. This will begin the download.
  3. Once the download has completed, the file (Firefox.dmg) should open by itself and pop open a Finder window containing the Firefox application. Drag the Firefox Icon on top of the Applications folder in order to copy it there.
  4. After dragging Firefox to the Applications folder, hold down the control key while clicking in the window and select Eject "Firefox" from the menu.
