The University of Denver does have access to WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services) as a result of the Daniels College of Business subscription. The fee-based databases available through this subscription are listed below:

  • Compustat – “Provides global market information on active and inactive publicly held companies.” Access to Execucomp is also available here.
  • CRSP (Center for Research in Security Prices) – CRSP “maintains the most comprehensive collection of security price, return, and volume data for the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ stock markets.”
  • Dow Jones Averages & Total Return Indexes (Daily and Monthly) – “Covers the Dow Jones Averages and the Dow Jones Total Return Indexes."
  • Eventus – “Performs event studies using data read directly from CRSP stock databases or pre-extracted from any source."

University of Denver faculty, graduate assistants, and doctoral and graduate students who would like to access this database should register for an account.

More information about accessing this database is available in the WRDS research guide.
